Welcome to puzzlegacy!  

My name is Michael Gornichec, and I created this website in order to organize and publish life histories of ancestors who have passed on.  I refer to life histories as puzzlegacies, which is my word for a biography.  Researching and writing a biography is very much like putting together the pieces of a puzzle.  I believe that a puzzlegacy needs to focus on an individual, but it should include information about the individual's immediate family as well as their ancestry.  The puzzlegacy should also include context to places and events.  The language, tone, and photographs need to be respectful.  The information needs to be true and verifiable, although personal stories can be used as long as the source is clearly defined.

I find the experience of writing about my ancestors to be both educational and extremely satisfying.
